  4. 12.5.2026 | The NATO defence alliance's joint operational doctrine working meeting will be held for the first time in Helsinki from 12 to 14 May 2026. The purpose is to enhance interoperability among NATO member countries by standardising common doctrines and the associated terminology.   6. 16.6.2025 | This year, the Open Regional Military Championships in Naval Pentathlon will take place in Finland, in the Upinniemi garrison on 23-28 June. The local organiser is the Coastal Brigade. The umbrella organization of military sports, International Military Sports Council (CISM), coordinates the organisation of championships and makes sure the rules are being followed.
