Commander of the Finnish Army inspected the Karelia Brigade on 11 September 2025

Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki, inspected the Karelia Brigade on September 11, 2025.

During the inspection, the Commander met with conscripts, reservists, and personnel. Based on the inspection, I can confirm that the skills of the various personnel groups are of a high standard and that our training is of high quality, says Lieutenant General Välimäki.

Seeing reservists leading a jaeger company's combat firing exercises based on firing orders they have drawn up themselves gives me even more confidence in the functioning of the conscription system, adds Lieutenant General Välimäki.
