14.1.2026 | The Squadron 2020 programme is progressing as planned. Steel cutting for the fourth Pohjanmaa-class multi-role corvette has commenced, and the keel of the third vessel has been laid in accordance with naval tradition at the Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) shipyard. With these milestones, construction of all vessels included in the programme is now underway.

9.10.2024 | Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC Defence) has started the construction of the second multi-role corvette included in the Squadron 2020 project. Today, the 9th of October, the cutting of the steel structures for the hull of the second vessel of the Squadron started in the presence of invited guests in Rauma.

21.5.2025 | The first of the Pohjanmaa-class multi-role corvettes to be built for the Navy has been launched in Rauma. In early May, the vessel was moved from the construction hall to the dock basin where the building and outfitting of the vessel continue. A festive launch ceremony was celebrated in Rauma on 21 May.

11.4.2024 | The building of the first multi-purpose corvette included in the Squadron 2020 project has advanced to the keel laying phase. A traditional keel laying ceremony was celebrated at Rauma shipyard on Thursday 11 April 2024.

14.1.2026 | Genomförandet av Flottilj 2020-projektet fortskrider enligt plan. Stålskärningen för den fjärde flerfunktionskorvetten i Pohjanmaa-klassen har inletts och kölen till det tredje fartyget har lagts enligt tradition vid Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC) varv. Därmed är byggandet av samtliga fartyg i projektet nu i gång.

26.9.2019 | The contracts concerning the Defence Forces’ strategic project, the procurement and construction of the Pohjanmaa Class combat vessels were signed in Turku on Thursday 26 September 2019. The Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command, Rauma Marine Construction Oy, Saab Ab and the Finnish Navy participated in the signing of the contracts.

16.10.2025 | Kuluneen vuoden aikana laivasto on tehokkaasti jatkanut toimintaansa niin kotimaassa kuin kansainvälisesti Naton laivasto-osastoissa. Laivue 2020-hankkeen myötä hyvää vauhtia valmistuvat Pohjanmaa-luokan monitoimikorvetit tulevat viemään Suomen meripuolustuksen uudelle tasolle.

The Finnish Navy committed Katanpää-class mine countermeasures vessels MHC Katanpää and MHC Purunpää to the Nato Response Force’s Follow on Forces pool for 2022. 21.5.2025 | Den första multifunktionskorvetten i Pohjanmaa-klassen som byggs för Marinen har sjösatts i Raumo. I början av maj flyttades fartyget från bygghallen till varvsbassängen där arbetet med att bygga och utrusta fartyget fortsatte. En högtidlig sjösättningsceremoni hölls i Raumo den 21 maj.

21.5.2025 | Merivoimille rakennettavan Pohjanmaa-luokan ensimmäinen monitoimikorvetti on laskettu vesille Raumalla. Alus siirrettiin toukokuun alussa rakennushallista telakka-altaaseen, missä rakentaminen ja varustelu jatkuvat. Juhlallista vesillelaskuseremoniaa vietettiin Raumalla 21.5.

9.10.2024 | Rauma Marine Constructions Oy (RMC Defence Oy) on aloittanut toisen Laivue 2020 -hankkeen monitoimikorvetin tuotannon. Laivueen toisen aluksen rungon teräsrakenteiden leikkaaminen alkoi Raumalla kutsuvieraiden läsnäollessa tänään 9.10.24.

9.10.2024 | Rauma Marine Constructions Oy (RMC Defence Oy) har inlett produktionen av den andra multirollskorvetten inom projektet Flottilj 2020. Stålkonstruktionerna i det andra fartygets skrov började skäras i närvaro av inbjudna gäster i dag 9.10. 24.

11.4.2024 | Laivue 2020 -hankkeen ensimmäisen monitoimikorvetin rakentaminen on edennyt kölinlaskuvaiheeseen. Perinteistä kölinlaskuseremoniaa juhlittiin Rauman telakalla torstaina 11.4.2024.
