Training and maritime surveillance

The Navy's basic training for Finnish-speaking conscripts and the Naval Special Operations Forces training has been concentrated to the Coastal Brigade. Maritime surveillance 24/7 is also an important part of our every-day work and the security of the Gulf of Finland. 

Our main base is located at Upinniemi Garrison in Kirkkonummi, but our area of operations reaches all the way from Hanko to the eastern borderline.
