Prevention of environmental damage through cooperation between authorities

The multipurpose vessel Louhi will participate in a national environmental response exercise from 7 to 11 October 2024 in Lappohja, Hanko.

Besides Louhi, units and personnel from the Finnish Border Guard, Helsinki City Rescue Department and the Länsi-Uusimaa Rescue Department, will participate in the exercise.

The aim of the exercise is to develop cooperation between the participating authorities, especially in the prevention of environmental damage in the archipelago. Exercise will be led by the commander of the Coastal Fleet’s 8th Service Support Squadron.
