Swedish Air Force Gripen fighter jets to visit Karelia Air Wing

Karelia Air Wing will host a visit of six Swedish Air Force JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets at Rissala Air Base on 31 January‒6 February 2025.

The visit of the Swedish detachment will be part of the bilateral cooperation between the Finnish and Swedish air forces.

During the visit, the Gripens will take part in the Finnish Air Force’s daily flight training activities together with Karelia Air Wing’s F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets on 3‒6 February 2025. The air activity will take place in the training areas located in the vicinity of Rissala Air Base.
