Senior NATO Commanders met in Finland

Deputy Commanding General of US Army Europe & Africa and Deputy Commander of NATO Allied Land Command visited the Finnish Army Command on 18-19 February 2025.

Deputy Commanding General of US Army Europe & Africa, Lieutenant General Sean Bernabe and Deputy Commander of NATO Allied Land Command, Lieutenant General Jez Bennett visited the Finnish Army Command on 18-19 February 2025 to discuss ongoing cooperation to enhance NATO’s deterrence and defence within the Euro-Atlantic area. 

The visit was hosted by the Commander of the Finnish Army, Lieutenant General Pasi Välimäki. This was their first meeting to be held in-country since the approval by the North Atlantic Council of the new Multi-Corps Land Component Command to be established in Finland.
