13.5.2022 | During the exercises that start on Friday 13th May, the troops will train, among other things, protection of maritime traffic, generation of situation picture as well as coastal combat tasks and the use of fire. The training will continue until the end of next week and it will be commanded by Finnish Navy Commander, Rear Admiral Jori Harju.

20.5.2019 | The main exercise of this spring for the Finnish Navy, maritime warfare exercise Silja is to be conducted from 27th May to 7th June. The main areas of exercise include Archipelago Sea, Gulf of Finland, Northern Baltic Sea and the coastal areas of Uusimaa region.

28.1.2019 | The Finnish Navy participates in the mine countermeasure warfare exercise Dynamic Move 2019 in Belgium from January 28 to February 8.

27.8.2018 | The oil response vessel Hylje will participate in the Baltic Delta exercise in Sweden, in the waters of Karlskrona from 27 to 30 August 2018.

11.4.2018 | Vessels from the Finnish Navy will participate in an exercise arranged by the Swedish Navy from 11.4 to 19.4.2018 in the archipelago of Stockholm.

2.1.2018 | The one year readiness phase of FNS Uusimaa as part of the NATO Response Force (NRF) pool ended on 31 December 2017.

17.10.2017 | Oil recovery vessels manned by the Finnish Navy exercise in the waters around Koverhar - Lappohja from 24-27 October 2017. Staff from the Finnish Environment Institute will act as observers during the exercise.

28.9.2017 | The 4th Mine Counter-Measures Squadron of the Coastal Fleet will arrange the exercise Baltic Shield 2017 between 2 October and 6 October 2017. The exercise is a joint exercise for Finnish and Estonian mine counter-measures vessels, which will be held in Finland, in the Archipelago Sea.

25.8.2017 | Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 (SNMCMG1) will arrive in Turku September 1 for a scheduled port visit as part of the group’s deployment in the Baltic Sea. The group will be hosted by the Finnish 4th Mine Countermeasures Squadron, Coastal Fleet.
