French Navy’s Vessel Visits Helsinki

Finland will receive a French Ally for a scheduled port visit in Helsinki. The French Navy’s light stealth frigate FS Aconit will moor at Hernesaari port on May 9-12 2025. The ship will not be open to the public.

La Fayette-class frigate FS Aconit is 125 meters long and 15 meters wide. The ship was commissioned in 1999 and her homeport is in Toulon

FS Aconit will make a routine call in Finland during which the crew will get an opportunity to spend some free time ashore and discover Helsinki. During the visit, FS Aconit will exercise with the Coastal Fleet. 

The visit will be hosted by the Coastal Fleet’s Chief of Staff, Commander Toni Joutsia
